
Hello, iamdirectorh.
I’m an Ad Man, Film Director, Fabulist (in the good sense of the word) and I will spare you the pain of another bio written in the third person.
I started off as a creative in advertising agencies in the Middle East almost a decade ago working on cars, telecom, cigarettes, banks, planes, alcohol, you name it… I spent time at M&C Saatchi, Drive Dentsu and BBDO working on brands like Toyota, Lexus, Seat, Saab, Zain, Ooredoo, QNB, Banque Libano Française, Medgulf, Magrabi Optical, and the list goes on...
During that time, I have solved problems across all platforms (and people) and won a lot of business along the way. I’ve been recognised at my parents’ place, and many other places, had my work screened on most TV channels across the region, but never got the chance to see any of my spots until I stopped working in advertising.
In 2011, I headed to New York to study filmmaking and started directing TV commercials and Music videos as soon as the plane landed in Beirut. You might be familiar with some of the latest spots I directed for Jawwy, McDonalds, AlMarai, Khabbaz, OMO, Touch, Connect, Save The Children, Sling TV, Zain, Ooredoo, Ministry of Tourism (LiveLoveLebanon), Khoury Home, La Maison De La Forêt, Dairy Khoury, Shouf Tourism and Kunhadi, among others.
In terms of awards, Zain’s The Long Walk was shortlisted at the Dubai Lynx in 2014 and the “Live Love Lebanon” TVC was ranked 1st in “Communicate’s Book of Tens 2015”.
Never got an Oscar. But really want one.
